I’ve been working with Flash for the past week and a bit, so far it’s safe to say I’m not very good with it. I can use it functionally, like you ask me to draw or edit an existing file I can do that easily. It’s more the case that compared to everyone else in this class, they’re leaps and bounds ahead of me. I can get how this is probably due to them having experience with Flash before, but regardless I feel like I could be doing so much more and I’m just being kind of stupid or slow.
I was able to draw, animate and edit with Flash, which is all fine but it’s still at a basic level. I didn’t drastically change the layout of the maze like others, plus there was no sort of theme going on, it was simply me doing whatever I could so I can get to grips. My main take away is that it functions, nothing broke in the final product but it did quite a bit in the earlier attempts. Maybe i’ll get a feel for what causes what to break in the future.
I’m sure there’s more that I’ll do and be better with in the coming weeks, but I can’t help but feel disappointed in myself for not doing well with this, personally anyways. I’ve got big expectations riding on me so I’m going to have to get better and fast, or else I’ll fall behind the class fast. It’s a bit of a negative blog but it’s the thought that counts right?
